Dr. Ilias Leontiadis is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Samsung AI, Cambridge. Before, he was a Senior Researcher at Telefonica Research and a research fellow at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include mobile systems, deep learning and networks. He is currently working towards supporting AI on mobile devices through distributed computing. More specifically, his research is focused on supporting Federated Learning on a wide range of mobile and embedded devices and on novel ways of supporting real-time AI inference via offloading DNN workload to edge/cloud resources. Apart from the industrial research, he has been involved in multiple top-tier conferences (WWW, Mobisys, MobiCom, CoNext, ICWSM,CSCW, IMC, SIGCOMM, etc).
